Mommy Dearest

I just want everyone (even though nobody reads these) to know that my mom is the most amazing and beautiful mom ever. Maybe she likes to scare the crap out of us and maybe she only cries for Michael...but she's amazing. Lonely little old me who didn't have a Valentine came home to find a Valentines card from my mom. She is always able to make my day. How many of you are able to call your mom every single day to gossip about every day life? And how many of your moms wiggle elmos in front of your face saying "aaaaaabbbbbdddd!!!" Not very many.

Cheesy but cute Valentines day card..

We can really talk for hours and she always knows what to say to make me feel better. So mom, thanks for the Valentines card, all the other letters you send me, and for just being wonderful. Thanks for making me feel special every day. I love you.

Dannys Surprise Party

Danny is this kid that we work with from New York. He goes around thinking he's all gangsta all the time with his New York accent. He's hilarious. Probably one of the funniest kids you'll ever meet. So one day he kept going up to random people at work saying "Hey, just so you know, my 25th birthday is in a couple of days and I've never had a surprise party." His birthday did come along and we all told him that we had plans that night. I had never seen a kid so broken hearted in my life. But he was expecting a suprise party that day and we really wanted him to have one and really be surprised. The next day we all planned to tell him that we had plans yet again. Thomas asked him to go to Green Street and told him it would just be the two of them. He came in to find us all there to surprise him. He looked oh so happy! :)

Kailey and I baked this awesome cake for him with lyrics from one of his favorite songs on it. We also bought him a card and had everyone from Chilis sign it for him. Angel went out and bought some flowers and balloons to decorate a table at green street. The ribbons of course being the Giants colors.

....He really seemed to like everything and was very happy.

After we all sang happy birthday and ate some cake, everyone kind of stayed around and had low key one on one conversations. It was a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure I saw (not yet to meet) my future husband. He was pretty hot. I don't even know his name. But I will run into him again. haha. This one kid whos not very hot, but I can't seem to get over, came and made me kind of nervous. Buuuut I still managed to be ok.

After everyone got drunk they all went out on the dance floor and danced the night away. But not me, no way. I just stuck around and hung out with Scotty and his friend the whole time. Then we all went home to bed.

The End!

Cocktail Party!

So...I decided to have a cocktail party. We told everyone at work about it and a few friends outside of work about it thinking it would be a fun get together where all of us could dress up all nice and drink nice cocktails. Turns out that a lot more people were pretty excited about it than expected. There were probably about 55 to 65 people in my tiny little two bedroom, one bath house. But it was amazing. Even Michael and his new girlfriend came! Every single person that I talk to about it said that it was the most fabulous party they had been to in a really long time. We made a bunch of snacks for everyone to snack on. Bryon (who also bartended) bought 300 dollars worth of liquor and mixers and did a great job making drinks for everyone that night. I wish there were more pictures of everyone. Unfortunately, most of the people in these pictures are camera hogs :) But here they are...

...some people who didn't know how to control their alcohol got pretty wasted

Some even had to be carried out

But there are always those of us who survive. We were so proud that we survived that we took a picture. (I only had one drink mom)

After everyone called their friends or cabs to go home. My house looked pretty sad. It took a lot of cleaning.

It really did end up being a great night though. When good friends who always see each other lookin thier worse come together looking their best, it amazes us all.

mardi gras!

Mardi Gras

I figured I would post another blog. It's not too exciting because I don't have a husband to talk about, or any children to brag about. So..I guess I will just put up posts of my daily life so that my mommy, Paula and Michael can see whats up. And this is about my Mardi Gras celebration! yay!

It all started with a phone call from Thomas saying, "Hooker, hurry and get ready and I'm coming to pick you up."

He came and picked me up and we went over to Green St. to meet up with a John and Sean. We all sat down and talked for a good hour then when straight to Harris' house. At his house we all put on beads and masks and ran around acting ridiculous. You know, the usual, dancing, jumping over half doors, pretending to grab each others bums, watching them chug wine...? And of course acting gangsta in every picture :)

Sean has been talking crap for some time now about who the better gamer is. So I challenged him to a good game of guitar hero 2.

Of course I blew his score out of the water...every single time. Here is the proof. I am player one.

And I went on to beat everyone else.

After my fingers started to hurt I went back upstairs and hung out with everyone else until around 3 AM. Cuddled on the couch with one of my best friends, Thomas..

Then we all went home!

It may seem that I'm drunk in most of these pictures. But I'm really not. See that beer in a lot of them. That was my one beer for the whole 4 to 5 hour party. I was the DD. I naturally act like a retard without alcohol.

Its kind of interesting that I love my friends from work so much. I have my other friends too, and they're awesome to hang out with. But these friends are just different. They always want to be around each other, they're always willing to drop everything to go out and have a good time. This is a new experience for me. They're all amazing people and I couldn't choose any better friends.
